For The Greater Good: new playable race, the T’au, joins the fray in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

Available now on PC, Xbox and on Playstation, the game’s fifth main DLC expands upon the fast-paced turn-based action by introducing the T'au Empire.
Playstation players can already buy the DLC, but it will be playable once the patch is made available.

The T’au is the latest faction to step onto the battlefield of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. The technologically advanced race has arrived to spread The Greater Good across the galaxy with 14 new units that are playable in the game’s dynamic campaigns, skirmishes, and in multiplayer.

Specialising in long-ranged weaponry, the T’au has a diverse selection of unit types that use their technological prowess to gain the upperhand. Using its high-tech sensors, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit can pinpoint enemy weak points that can be easily exploited. The XV25 Stealth Battlesuits can blend seamlessly into its surroundings to get the drop on foes and the formidable XV8 Crisis Battlesuit Team has access to a variety of devastating weapons.

Each of these units feature distinctive, finely crafted models and unique special abilities. In addition, players can access brand new HQ abilities that benefit the entire faction. These include Seeker Missile Strike, Manta Strike, and Orbital Ion Beam.

Coinciding with the launch of the T’au DLC is the release of the free new Map Editor. By using an easy-to-use in-game tool, players can create their own custom maps and share them with the world via a cross platform upload system. All player created maps will be available to be used in skirmishes, multiplayer, and in the Planetary Supremacy dynamic campaign. The map editor is out now on PC, while creations are downloadable on all platforms. Discover more about the update here
